Membership Application Details

 

Membership Term

The club membership runs from June 1st to May 31st the following year.

New Members: We offer a promotional 2 months of membership, for new members applying as early as April 1st prior to the start of our membership term. We presently do not offer discount memberships for family/children.

Renewing/Expiring Memberships: Existing members should renew prior to the beginning of the new membership term to continue their membership. Presently we do not offer discounts for renewals. If one allows their membership to expire, they will continue to get "E-Mail Blasts" (the way in which the club announces events) through September 1st following the prior membership term. NOTE: Those who have let their membership expire, may NOT continue to get direct email notices.


Membership Application Form

There are (3) formats the club application is available in: Online Format, Generic PDF format, and Digitally Signable PDF. The headings of the three bullet points are hypertext links to gain access to the specific formatted application.

Online Application
The preferred method for applying for application is the online method; Easier for you and for the membership chairperson, as they won't need to transcribe (figure out what you wrote) to update the club membership database. To apply online, click on the "Online Application" heading above, and a separate tab or window will be displayed with a special viewer allowing for the completion of the form interactively. If you don't see the window or tab, make sure your browser is configured to allow pop-up windows (at least for our club's site). In the club application window, you can click and enter data, or tab through the different fields (pressing the space bar while focus is on a check box toggles the item on/off). Once you've completed the form, click on the submit icon, OnLineFormSubmit button, which can be found in the menubar of icons at the top of the viewer, the left most icon. Lastly, you will need to print out a copy of the form, using your browser's "print" function, SIGN the copy (agreeing to the liability waiver) and (e)mail it it following the procedure discussed below. Once you submitted your form, and printed out a copy, you can close the viewer window/tab.

Generic PDF Application
The Generic PDF Application form, can be filled out using Adobe Acrobat Reader and then printed out, SIGNED, and mailed into MJ along with your membership dues. Note you do NOT need to fill the PDF form out with Adobe Acrobat; You can simply print out the PDF file and fill it in, SIGN IT, and submit it via physical mail.

Digitally Signed Application
The Digitally Signed Application form, is similar to the generic PDF application form, except that the places where one is requested to physically sign the release are replaced with fields that accept one's digital signature. Those who have the ability to sign a form digitally can fill out this form on line (with Acrobat), digitally sign the document (with Acrobat), and then email the digitally signed application to MJ. This eliminates having to send in a physical signed copy of the application form.

Independent of which kind of application form you fill out, you need to make sure a signed copy of the application must be sent in along with a $50 check to our treasurer, Mary Jo at:

If you wish, you can scan in your signed application (or take a photo of it), and send the application scan/image in via email to "membership@nisnowdrifter.com", and pay with your financial institution's bill pay facility (so to avoid having to physically mail in the application and payment). The club is investigating adding Paypal and Zelle as ways to pay for membership in the future.

The club memberships are valid until from June 1st of the membership year, to May 31st of next year.
